Founded in 2016, Galeria Mascota is a Mexico City–based contemporary gallery operating at the intersection of representation, production, and experimentation. Through its hybrid model, combining exhibitions with long-term residencies, the gallery fosters a dynamic ecosystem where artists develop practices grounded in material investigation, industrial processes, and structural experimentation.
The gallery represents artists whose work is deeply rooted in process and the physical conditions of making. Materials are not treated as neutral supports but as active agents, transformed, displaced, or reconfigured through operations that echo industrial logics such as assembly, tension, and compression.
